Can I use this service?

The scheme is a transport service provided by volunteer drivers who use their own cars. It serves those who live in Melton borough.

If you are frail elderly or disabled and cannot use public transport, or none exists, you are eligible to use the service.

We can take you to a number of places including health appointments ( hospital, doctor, health centre, dentist, chiropodist) lunch clubs, visits and daytime courses.  Please give as much advanced notice as possible of your request. We do not operate a same day service. Requests submitted at least a week in advance allow us to contact and source availability of volunteers for your journey.

We can only serve the community with the volunteers who drive for us. If you are interested in becoming a driver give us a call. You can do as little or as much as you want. This is a rewarding volunteering opportunity, where the costs of your fuel are covered.

Please note we do have a wheelchair accessible vehicle

Community Minibus

Although funded separately we also have available for hire a Community Minibus. The minibus seats 13 +1 driver.  The minibus is available to hire by any community group within Melton borough. The bus can be driven on a normal driving license if the driver is not paid for the journey.  The driver can hold a normal license and must be between the ages of 25-70 to drive the vehicle. If your group would like to hire the bus please contact Angie on the number below.

This is all arranged by our Transport Manager, Angie. Give her a call on 01664 482 903
