Voluntary Action Melton became part of the Melton Learning Hub Charity in 2015. This merger ensured the continued delivery of the important community services VAM deliver.
Melton Borough Community Transport
The social car scheme is co-ordinated from Phoenix House and is supported by Leicestershire County council. This service provides transport for people who live within the Melton Borough and have difficulty accessing public transport.
On the scheme volunteers drive their own cars to take people to local appointments, activities and places. The scheme also has one vehicle available to transport wheelchair users
