This Art and Design course involves working creatively in both 2D and 3D. Students will have the chance to work in charcoal, soft pastels, water colours and acrylics. They will also be encouraged to work with collage, and to experiment with photography. They could even create sculptures with wire and paper.
This course is practically based and students will produce a portfolio of evidence to demonstrate their artistic skills. Students will be encouraged to create art work which they are really interested in.
No formal entry requirements
Aprons or overalls must be worn for all messy sessions. These will be provided.

Upon completion of this Level 1 Art and Design course, students could progress onto a variety of college courses.
However, the art and design skills gained on this course will be valuable whatever career a student follows. Interest in art and design can also become an enriching lifetime hobby.
