ASDAN provides a range of courses covering preparation for life and work, enrichment subjects, PSHE and Citizenship.
Every course is designed to develop learners’ personal, transferable and employability skills through an engaging and challenging curriculum of activities, leading to a certificate of achievement. They range in duration from 10 hours to 150 hours.
From Entry to University levels and for all ages of learner, but with a particular focus on the 13-19 age group, ASDAN courses offer wide-ranging provision.
The courses are delivered in a variety of settings, including secondary schools, Post-16 provision, special schools and primary schools, as well as in training and non-formal contexts.
ASDAN courses fall into three categories:
Programmes: Structured, ‘light-touch’ resources that promote active learning and progression and reward achievement
Qualifications: Rigorous qualifications, from Entry 1 to Level 4, approved by the national regulators for England (Ofqual), Wales (Qualifications Wales), Northern Ireland (CCEA) and recognised by the Scottish Qualifications Authority (SQA)
Development Courses: A low-cost programme with a certificate at the end, for individuals or small numbers of learners
